He misses Sahira more than the Sahara misses rain- part 9

"You ok?" Xanthe asked Greg, as he came back into the ITU. "I heard yelling" He nodded. "Yeah i'm fine, I don't think Sahira will be bothering us any more" "Mr Douglass, I sincerely hope after that little episode that you are thinking about going home to your residence to rest and to avoid more incidents like with Ms Shah out there" Mr Edwards said, stepping over to him with a clipboard. "But, Devon needs me-" "To give him some space to heal, Mr Douglass, there is nothing you can do here at this current moment in time. Please go home" "Come on" Xanthe quietly said, taking Greg's hand in her own and leading him out. "We'll get something to eat on the way home, any requests?" Greg shook his head, and pressed the button to call the lift. They remained in silence, as Xanthe drove slowly back to her flat. "You can crash in my bed if you like" she told him, opening the door and f...

He misses Sahira more than the Sahara misses rain- part 8

"As you both will already know, the next few hours a crucial" Mr Edwards said, gently pulling off his blue plastic apron. "15 minute ob's please Nurse Morris" he said to the Intensive care nurse. Mr Edwards was already in a difficult position, his best consultant was lying in ITU with unfavorable chances and there was a media frenzy going on outside the hospital entrance. Half of Devon's ribs had been broken, several bones in his hands and feet were broken, and his Aorta had been nicked by a rib splinter. Thankfully, there hadn't been much head trauma, but they had placed Devon in a medically induced coma to help his body begin the healing process. Mr Edwards, despite being described as a cold and harsh man, did really have a heart, but he didn't often show it, Just like with Mr Hansson back at Holby, he did really care about his staff. But he chose to be the cold man, to hide the fact that he really felt sad when a member of staff left, or was injur...

He misses Sahira more than the Sahara misses rain- part 7

Greg felt someone slapping at his face. "Greg!" Yana cried, slapping at his face. "Greg, what the hell is going on?" he could sense real panic in her voice. He sat up, ignoring the pounding that was going on in his skull. "wait, Yana, someones taken Devon" "What?" she said, looking confused, "This guy, he's taken Devon" Greg stammered. "okay, you get to the ED, get yourself checked over, make sure your head is ok, i'll alert security" she told him, before dashing off to phone security. Greg sat there for a moment, trying to mentally process everything. And then he saw it. A single drop of blood, on the floor by the door to the stairwell. He stood up and stepped over to the door. There was a slow but steady stream of little blood droplets that traveled up the stairs.Greg gave a groan. "The roof!" He grabbed the handrail and dashed up the stairs. After nine long flights, he managed to reach the top floor.H...

He misses Sahira more than the Sahara misses rain- part 6

Yana gave Greg a cool look. "An apple? Whats the big deal with an apple?" Greg gave an exasperated sigh. "Because Yana, it means something, first he gave me socks, now he's giving me apples!" "Greg, will you actually listen to yourself? Do you even know what your saying any more???" Yana groaned. "Good morning Mr Douglas and Ms Churikova, perhaps, instead of standing here talking about apples and what Mr Douglas gets up to with his companions, maybe you could go to bed three where Mr Greene has just coughed up a section of his lung. Yana and Greg both ran off to help Mr Greene, while Mr Edwards stood there, silently studying them. He had heard some interesting reports from other members of staff about Greg Douglas, and his, womanizing habits. A complaint had already been lodged by an emergency room nurse, and Mr Edwards was going to be keeping a close eye, not just on Greg, but also on Yana. This hospital couldn't survive another scandal, ...

He misses Sahira more than the Sahara misses rain- part 5

"I know how you feel about this Greg, but you have to accept that nothing can happen between us" Sahira said, her eyes misty with tears. "Why can't you accept that?" "Because" Greg replied, a solitary tear rolling down his cheek, "We've been through so much together, we can make this work." She stepped away from him, her face distorted with anger. "OH IT'S ALWAYS ABOUT YOU ISN'T IT?" she screamed, louder than she had ever screamed before. Sahira was boiling with rage, her soul becoming a tempest that threatened to sink anything that dare came close. "What about Indy? Whats going to happen to him? and Raffi? We've been married for twelve years, then you had to come along, with your Irish charm and smooth talking, and you just expect the first Tom, Dick and Harry to jump into bed with you, We aren't all easy like Marie-Claire you know! This is the real world Greg, not some random little sat's are good, ...
