Back in town

Hello! Surprise surprise, I am back from a long absence with a blog post saying how I will never leave blogging again for so long. And surprise surprise I am on a night shift! And perhaps the biggest surprise of all, I have myself a man! Lets start from the beginning So Yes I am back. And this time I really do mean it. Trouble is, when you work an 80 hour week (and sometimes more!) time outside of work becomes very precious. Sad to say, but sleep and rest take priority. Especially on days where the shifts literally roll one into another. I say this, because week before last, I managed to literally work three days straight on four hours sleep. I literally went from a night shift at one, to a day shift at the other, then home for three hours to shower eat and sleep, then back to a night shift, then a day shift, then another night... You get the idea. My free time has been very limited recently, but I can cope with that, because I know I am working towards an ultimate goal. My t...

Just touched down from London town...

Good evening. So, just like every day, today was eventful. I was in London today, causing all manner of chaos, like you know I like to. I've been to London quite a lot recently. There's something, I don't know, exciting about London. The massive metropolis that stretches out as far as the eye can see, punctuated by strange smells and sights. It really is a feast to the senses. I guess London is like Paris and Rome, you could spend eternity there, and still not manage to sample everything it has to offer. In other news, my literature concerning the black death is on the increase again. For some reason, the black death has captivated my imagination like nothing before. I am simply desperate to find out more, but there is a severe lack of literature and artifacts out there. Partly because of the lack of evidence, and I imagine it is a very woeful and macabre subject to be writing about. Isn't it odd that something so dark can grasp your attention so tightly. I guess...

Secrets

We've all got dirty little secrets. Some of us, even have big, horrendously large secrets that lie just below the surface. Biding their time, waiting for the perfect moment to explode, taking out everything in the vicinity with them. I like to think mine are small. They are little ones, that with any luck, if exposed would just quietly slip back into obscurity after a brief spell in the limelight. But as we all know, I am never that lucky. Sometimes we share these dirty little secrets. Whether with friends, partners, family or just strangers. There will always be someone out there who knows about the secret, someone who understands the secret, someone who has a thrill from keeping the secret, and that one unashamed person who has the secret, and goes out to share it. Sometimes they share it with people who are like minded.Hence, the secret becomes a public secret, hidden from the world, but shared between a select few. It seems, that I am one of those people. I'm curren...

Countdown

Would you believe it, but I'm on another night shift. It seems I am rather addicted to doing them, although right now there is no place I would rather more be than in bed. Snuggling under the duvet, surrounded by pillows and throws and cushions and the like. But I'm not. Instead I am sat at a computer with a rather sticky keyboard, writing about my day. I guess it's a good compromise. Work has been strangely quiet the last couple of days. I mean so quiet, that I even started changing the size pips on the coathangers, so they were actually right. That's how quiet it was. The only time we ever do that is in the lay months of january and february after the sales have gone. It was stressing me out, because once I started, that was it. Trousers was a mess, except for the straight leg and the tapered crops/ 7/8ths. Only because I had already sized those at an earlier interval in the day. Also, Thursday I spent the day relaying Indigo, making it look as beautiful as it co...

Bad News

So I woke up this morning to the news that Britain was leaving the European Union. People are entitled to thier own opinions, but this is an absolute joke. I cannot fathom what on earth people were thinking, except for those voting with an immigration head on. I can honestly say, that I worry about the future of our children now. We are going to be missing out on both a massive opportunity, and a large community of shared wealth, politics, economics, and perhaps most important of all, a shared culture. There's not much more I can say about this really. I feel absolutly gutted, and am worried about what tomorrow will bring. We could thrive, but at the moment, it is much more about survival. And that is going to be a very difficult road to follow.

From the Night to Nocturn

Hello. Well it's been a rough week. Bloody hell am I glad I am off tomorrow. The weekend at work was just horrendous, bloody customers having a go about anything they could possibly have a go at. It got to the point, that I was ready to start throwing them down the escalators. Fortunately for them, they stopped complaining. The week was just busy in general, and I actually got very little done all week, something I'm a bit annoyed about. My book is really coming along, it's starting to wrap itself up, although other parts of it need a lot of work, the light is at the end of the tunnel. I've started to treat one of the characters with some contempt. She went from being a rather sassy but interesting individual, to being a down right rude and nasty person. It's not a change I intended, but I guess it shows character development, although just not in the way I intended. The other thing I wanted to share was a conversation I overheard at the til at work in the wee...

Birthdays and Night shifts

Well good evening/night/morning. (It's 2:30am, so pick what you fancy from that). I'm on another night shift, and felt that I should update you all on the excitement that is my life. Or lack of it could be said. So primary job is going well. I had a meeting with the store manager who wants to expand my talents and help me move up the ladder by getting on the management training program. I guess it's a step in the right direction, but I'm really not feeling the idea of being stuck at that place forever. Although I certainly don't mind a manager's salary. Secondary job is also going well. I'm gradually fitting in with the group more, and picking up the extra shift here and thee is certainly helping. In other news, it's my birthday soon. I've ordered a cake, and have started trying to buy myself something nice.  I've organised a meal out for a few people, and this is where my problem arises. I've got mum, possibly dad, Connor, Biddy, Becky a...

Back again.

My goodness, two posts in two days? I'm setting records here people! Once again I am at work, and sat on my lunch break. Today has been a struggle, I finished yesterday morning, got changed into my uniform, then started my shift at the other place. I felt okay to start off with, but by the end of the day I had a massive, sort of like pressure cooker headache and felt so hot I was burning up. I had a couple of hours sleep and took some painkillers, and that has seemed to have done the trick. These weekends are murder. No sleep, massive working hours and the general business of it is bloody hard work. I'm trying to make sure I am hydrated and eating enough, but it's difficult. Something happened at work today. Two of my friends, came in at 8, I had a little chat with both of them, before they both completely ignored me and went and did their own thing together, leaving me to do the delivery. Now on a Sunday this is a fairly regular occurrence, me doing the delivery by mys...

A busy week.

Hello all. As I have done so many times before, apologies for my prolonged absence. Recently things have been very hectic, working two jobs, and trying to keep myself on the straight an narrow. At least this week has been a bit different. Well sort off. I had the week off from one place, and I spent it rushing around as usual. Well I had two total days of bed rest too :D I went up to London on the Tuesday, spent the day visiting the Victoria and Albert museum, then of course spent two hours utterly lost, and ended up at St Pauls cathedral, and during that "exploration" I managed to give a group of French tourist the completely wrong directions. I didn't actually mean to do this. I was trying to stare at the map one of them was holding (My phone had given up on me by this point). She said something about the river, I was trying to ask how to get back to Piccadilly. Somehow I ended up at the river, and by that I assume they ended up at Piccadilly. Since the daily mail ...

New Plans?

Hello. I havn't even been on holiday yet, let alone travelled round Europe and I am already planning where to go next. After a bit of thought, I'm thinking about India. Why I hear you ask. Well why not? Like Caroline at work said to me, I'm young free and single. Aside from work, I have no commitments, no mortgage, no kids, and nothing stopping me. Which is perhaps the most important point. The only thing stopping me from going, is me. I need to get a more positive mindset on. I'm saving hard, and I'm trying to really sort myself out so that when I go, I am ready. To be honest, I have nothing to lose. I can come back anytime and pick up a job here. I stay with my mum, or maybe James if everything goes tit's up. I mean I hope it won't. But it does pay to be prepared for these events. My idea is to come home from travelling, work three months at work to get some more money up together, before buying a plane ticket and flying to maybe Mumbai or Chennai ...

Been so long...

Hello. I do apologize for there being such a delay in this post. Something has really stopped me from blogging the past two months, and it's almost felt like my fingertips have had no life in them. But the fact that I am typing this now may mean we are back on track. Lets see what I have to tell you. First off, I guess the most important news is that I now have two jobs. As well as working at the other place, I've also taken up a second job at another well known high street chain working Saturday and Sunday night's for some more cash before I go travelling across Europe. It's not too bad on the weekends I don't work at the usual place, but when I do work there, I end up going for no sleep or even a proper break for nearly 36 hours. It's bloody hard going, but at the end of the day, I need to do this if I want to get anywhere. As they say, no pain no gain. It was Nan's birthday saturday, so we all went up to her's for fish and chips and a bit of cake....

New friends?

Hello. Well things appear to be on the up. I've been chatting to this guy for a couple of days now. He is funny, cheeky and looks pretty good. And he is a kinky devil, so we are covered on all fronts! I'm hoping to eventually meet him in the flesh. Watch out for this space! Sunday saw the annual Christmas party. Oh what a party. Monday was a hellish day for us all, everywhere I looked there was hangover's. Mine was pretty bad, but I pulled myself together after a couple of hours of moping and got on with it. The booze flowed, and I mean in and out. I wasn't sick, but a lot of people were, no names being mentioned (You know who you are!) Me and Kim managed to smuggle alcohol in through the airport style security, and consequently I ended up drinking vodka with rose wine. It tasted surprisingly good, and went down far too easily. That coupled with the wine at home and the prosecco at Kims, meant I was on the dance floor, trying to do something which I didn't quite...

Boxes

Hello everyone. Today's post is about boxes. Love them or hate them, it seems we can never get away from them For a start, James moved house yesterday. From the sounds of it, it went quite smoothly, but when I was last round his the weekend before he moved, I was surprised at quite how many boxes there were. The scary thing is, comparing the stuff he has, to what we have, I think we are going to need a thousand more boxes when we leave, if not a million. Plus, cardboard boxes have an air of function ability about them. I have loads on top of my wardrobe, empty boxes for things like my tv, my xbox, other technological items and Christmas decorations (Which I neglected to put up this year). Also, in cardboard boxes, are some of my various toys and playthings. I know my mum was itching to ask me what was in them the other day when she stuck her head into my room to borrow something. And also, I've lived with a lot of my stuff in cardboard boxes for a lot of my life. It all star...

The Sweats

Good morning all. It's 6:45am, and I am drenched in sweat from walking to work. Now although I tend to lollop like a rabbit, rather than a normal human walk, It is a fast lollop. And unlike the pompous hare, I tend to keep the speed up, as I'm always concerned some hilariously ridiculous incident may ocour along the way which might delay me. (Although today so far been suspiciously free of hilariously ridiculous incidents, although the day is young) It's been a tough week at work, we had a crazy night shift on Wednesday moving EVERYTHING about, including walls and massive bit's of kit and equipment. And it didn't help that was someone involved who interfers and does bugger all. Me and Kim then came in at seven am on Friday, to find that we were just a quater of the said person. We both hit the roof. I had done the night shift into my day off, and I had planned a lot, and bless her Kim had done 6am to 1, then come back in at 7 and worked until midnight. We were n...

2016

Good morning! I guess I shall start with a welcome to 2016. Happy new year to everybody, may this year bring you everything you need, and much of what you want. You may be wondering how I celebrated new years. I sat in my bed surrounded by chocolate until I fell asleep at 10ish, completely missing everything. But oh well, I enjoyed it! Like I do every year, I have decided to make 2016 my year, while setting myself a load of goals that will only last a week. This year, I have gone for a slightly different approach. Rather than have a mass of resolution's that I won't be able to keep, each month, I will give myself one new resolution, so I can really focus on it and achieve it. Sounds like a good idea doesn't it? January's resolution, is to tidy, and keep my bedroom tidy. For far too long, it has been blighted by dirty washing, and crockery that has been here since god's dog was a puppy. My goal is to have a tidy, and organized bedroom, which people can come arou...
