He misses Sahira more than the Sahara misses rain- part 7

Greg felt someone slapping at his face.
"Greg!" Yana cried, slapping at his face. "Greg, what the hell is going on?" he could sense real panic in her voice.
He sat up, ignoring the pounding that was going on in his skull. "wait, Yana, someones taken Devon"
"What?" she said, looking confused,
"This guy, he's taken Devon" Greg stammered.
"okay, you get to the ED, get yourself checked over, make sure your head is ok, i'll alert security" she told him, before dashing off to phone security. Greg sat there for a moment, trying to mentally process everything. And then he saw it. A single drop of blood, on the floor by the door to the stairwell. He stood up and stepped over to the door. There was a slow but steady stream of little blood droplets that traveled up the stairs.Greg gave a groan. "The roof!"
He grabbed the handrail and dashed up the stairs. After nine long flights, he managed to reach the top floor. He started up the final flight, and nearly slipped on a small pool of blood that had collected on one of the middle steps. He went to push the doors, and found the chains had been snapped clean apart.
He took a deep breath and stepped onto the roof, not knowing what to expect.

A battered, blood stained and unconscious Devon was laid on the floor, his long black hair draped in a puddle of watery blood. His face was cut and bruised, and his breathing was labored. Greg dashed forward.
"Devon?" he called, gently tapping Devon's arm.
where is that creep now? Greg thought, casting a quick look around, making sure the other guy wasn't around. He had no idea what to do. For the first time in his life, Greg was stuck, and his mind was blank.
"vital's" he said to himself. "I...I..have to take Devon's vitals..need to check pulse"
Greg was really struggling. "Devon, please wake up" he begged, tears beginning to roll down his cheeks. "I can't do this alone", he wiped the tears from his eyes, inadvertently smearing blood under his eyes.
"Please, Someone!" He called down the stairs.
A drunken belch was the reply. Greg looked up to see Johnnie staggering towards him.
"Bring it you sorry excuse for a leprechaun" he said.
"Well take it from here" Yana suddenly said, appearing in the doorway with two burly security men. Her curly red Russian locks flowing around her. Within seconds Johnnie was pined to the ground, and Yana was desperately trying to stabilize Devon.
"This isn't looking good, i think his ribs are broken, but there's no way of knowing without a scan. Go and get Mr Edwards now!"
Greg could only nod and wipe his face, before he ran down the stairs.
