He misses Sahira, more that the Sahara misses rain - part 4

A very hungover Greg clambered out of his car. The car reeked of vomit piss and alcohol, and there were scratches all over the windows and body. He managed to stagger up to the hospital, and got in the lift. One of the new Nurses in the ED was in there, and she wrinkled her nose in distaste at him. "Yeah Thats right!" he yelled at her, as she got out two stops early, he could hear her muttering about his poor hygiene as she left. He raced into the staff room, and after coating himself in an inch of deodorant, and took six aspirin in quick succession. Realizing that the last one would be lonely, he swallowed that one as well. Greg was good, he didn't even need water. He had a quick look at the staffing sheet, which showed him that everyone else had called in sick, and he was the only doctor and surgeon on the ward except for Devon. Greg groaned, partially from his throbbing head and the fact there was somet...

He misses Sahira more than the Sahara misses rain- Part 3

"It's not like i even know him, like, I've never actually proper spoken to him, and i don't think i even like him, he's just there" Greg said, pausing only to sip his full fat mocha. Xanthe gave him a funny look. "well he certainly has made an impression on you". Greg chocked on his coffee. "what?" he said, pounding his chest, frantically trying to get the scalding hot liquid out of his lungs. "Well he obviously has some sort of charm over you, we've been sat here for nearly two hours, and all you've talked about is him, you haven't even congratulated me on being six months pregnant". Greg leaned over to get a better look at Xanthe's stomach. she stood up, just to highlight the bump. Xanthe was Greg's best friend, and so far the only person who he was good friends with aside from those at work. "umm wow" he stammered. "so congratulations" She laughed. "it's ok, I've just s...

He misses Sahira more than the Sahara misses rain (part 2)

There was no other way about it.Greg wasn't gay, but he could see the attraction. This new consultant had perfectly straight hair, and cheekbones that rivaled even Jac Naylors. "Hello" the consultant said. He had such a quiet, flirtatious voice, yet there was a hint of real power in there somewhere. Greg was aware that his mouth was open and he was gawping like a goldfisch. "Hello?" the consultant said again, a slight confused frown playing around his flawless forehead. "Greg" Yana hissed at Greg, and elbowed him. "Hi, i'm Yana" she said, holding out a hand. Greg noted that angry glare in her eyes when she was jealous. "Hello Yana, nice to meet you. I'm Devon" the consultant replied, giving her a warm smile. God does he have nice lips, Greg thought to himself. they were big, almost like little pillows. "Yes, and i be Greg! How arrr you?" Greg said. Yana just stared blankly at him. Oh god not this again. When ...

He misses Sahira more than the Sahara misses Rain

Greg was having a good day, one of the new F2's had stolen his stethoscope, four of his patients had died, and worst of all, it was Sahira's birthday. He was torn between sending her a text, just saying happy birthday, or completely ignoring it. He looked out over the car-park of Southampton city general hospital, and then at the sky for some inspiration. There was a flock of bird's flying across the sky, to a cloud which looked like a heart.  "fuck it" he said to himself, his Irish twang filling the air. Happy Birthday :) xx he wrote. he then frantically deleted the kisses. Then put them back in again. "GREG! I NEED YOU!" Shouted one of the nurses into the staff room. Greg threw his phone into his pocket and dashed out onto the ward. One of his patients, Mrs Bryanston, had just crashed, and one of the other doctors, Yana, was applying pads to her chest. "right move" he said to her elderly husband and grabbed the paddles. "everybody cl...
