Sibiu
I hadn't planned on visiting Sibiu, but I decided to break the journey up between Timisoara and Brasov, and so found Sibiu on route.
Its a charming little place, with a pretty little central square with a cathedral, and plenty of medieval buildings and walls dotted around.
Yes, it was a torrential rainstorm when I took this picture while I was hiding under someone's balcony!
This car was so cool!
The main attraction for me was the Astra National Museum. Its another open air ethnographic living museum (Try saying that all in one breath!). I love places like this, just seeing how life was before modern life took over. It was also a day that I learned what wet paint - do not touch in Romanian was. Guess which one I leant against?
Always good to see some feathered friends!
No one can ever say the Ferris wheel was a modern invention!
Sibiu is a charming little place, perfect for a day out if you're heading through that way. Its a very well connected town to most of Romania, so you don't have to worry about finding busses to your next destination.
My next stop Is Brasov, heading towards the centre of Romania.
