Bonsiour!!!

hello again,

first of all i wanna say something about money. you slave away for hours and hours for it, only for it to disappear in seconds. you start off with lots of it, then in a blaze of glory you waste it all and your back at square one. But who even came up with money? who thought that having a fixed currency was a good idea and would make our lives better? it seems a tad odd to me, and it's something i'm never going to be able to understand.

i apologize for my awful french, Je suis desole! (or words to that effect) i just felt like having a slightly more exciting title.

while i'm on the subject of money, i have been working extremely hard recently. i worked all week except for monday last week and am doing 54 hours this week. i had a sit down and really had a thought about my life in the future and on hearing that the average monthly mortgage payment is around £600 i decided to do something about it. from now on, 90% of my wages are put away, so that by the time i'm 30 i will have a small downpayment on a house which will hopefully be mine :)

the other 10% is for me to spend. it goes mostly on transport, food for work, clothes and alcohol. it's also buying me crockery. plates and cups and all that can be so expensive! so i've decided with my cash i am going to buy a bit each week, just something small and cheap, so when i move in i will have a largish collection of items, thereby saving myself a lot of money at a time where my finances will be most overstretched. and the best bit about doing it this way will be that all of it will be different and non matching. i have a real passionate hate of things that match, so i'm going to try and make sure everythign clashes as much as possible. this week i brought a black wine glass, very glossy and shiny from work, for £6 (although i used a voucher and my employee discount on it as well) once a week for a year will mean i have a plentiful supply of crockery, and moving in will be a lot cheaper and easier. then once ive doen that then i will start collecting little things, like cutlery, curtains, plants cushions, and i will slowly make my way up to the bigger items, liek tables chairs and a new bed, then everythign will be funky dory (hopefully at least!!!)

i must go now for i have to sleep and i have to be rested becuase i'm seeing Rachel tomorrow, who i havn't seen for a while now, and we are going to make hash brown burgers :D
