Glasgow
Glasgow is nothing like Edinburgh. Edinburgh has charm, uniformity and a nice pace to it. Glasgow is brutal, a mass of industry and its industrial heritage shows. It's brazen and busy, and is unapologetic about it.
Which I think is the reason why I liked it more than Edinburgh, it had more to do, had a more cosmopolitan feel, and had that big city vibe that I just adore.
The best thing in Glasgow without a doubt is the Huntarian gallery and museums. Now there are several galleries and museums to chose from, or you can visit them all, its up to you. The historical gallery was the best though. It had some amazing artefacts from the Antonine wall, which was a similar wall to Hadrians wall, just further North, it had hundreds of medical specimen jars, with organs, embryos, babies, as well as having artefacts from the industrial revolution. It was a very interesting museum, and was well worth visiting, especially on a rainy day like it was when we there.

We also went for a walk in the park, where we made some new friends, (who naturally needed feeding) and it was a great place to see some of Glasgow's many bridges too. And also, I like this photo (despite my finger photo bombing it) because it shows you the brutal cityscape, reflected in the same water that the park is reflected in, and it sort of shows the complete polar opposites of the city.
Also, Glasgow has these amazing bridges, all nicely coloured, which reflect it's heritage as a city of industry and manufacturing. It's a great place to walk alongside the river, you get to see so much of the city from it's riverbanks.
It's also worth mentioning that Glasgow has a metro, although if you're tall like me, it can be quite hard to use, especially with your head tilted at an angle to avoid the low ceiling. but it's pretty good and covered most of the city, so I doubt you would need to use much else to get about.
Glasgow is also a great place to base yourself to visit other places, the main attraction being Stirling, which will be coming soon :)
