April 2019
April was a quiet month, we didnt seem to do much or go out much. To be fair, I'd had a busy few months and quite a lot of trips and weekends away, so it was nice to have a bit of a slower month to recharge with.
We did however pop out an visit Hinton Ampner, a historical house and gardens, not far from New Alresford. It was a beautiful day, and the garden's were in full bloom and didnt disappoint. It's another National Trust property, and entrance starts at £16, or free for NT members (like yours truly!)
The hedge shaping was fantastic. I've never seen such brilliant patterns in hedging before.
This is what you call a bathroom! A beautiful tub and a skylight to gaze out of. My only issue is the carpet. Why in these places do they always have carpet in the bathrooms? The mind boggles!
Another day, another kitty sunbathing on the conservatory roof!
My first chilli harvest of the year!
Getting ready for the first BBQ of the year, I made steak slice kebab, two mince & pepper kebabs as well as the two veggie ones. They always say it's never too early for a BBQ! (Although we did wear coats as it was bloody cold)
We were also getting ready to start planting some of the seedlings, plus the new BBQ had arrived, so the conservatory was a bit of a mess. But it was going to be worth it, we'd planted beetroot, spring onions, tomatoes, carrots & lettuce, as well as loads of different herbs too. We had a very busy summer planned, now we had the sunshine, we just needed the warmth so everything could start going outside!
