Rome part 5
Hello everyone, this post is all about the best parts of Rome, the free bits! Of which, there is a surprisingly large amount.
First up is the Trevi fountain. A huge imposing deep fountain which rather strangely no one ever seems to fall in, despite being packed around it like sardines

The Spanish steps, although to be honest, there's not a great deal of interest about them
There are also numerous other water fountains, statues and columns around Rome.
But there's two places that really do deserve a visit. One is the main Park in Rome, the Villa Borghese gardens. They are simply beautiful, and one a hot day, a welcome and refreshing break from the stifling heat of the city.
These ducks were rather friendly, I shared my lunch with them, until the random busker nearby starting playing the godfather tune on his ukele and turned the whole scene rather sinister
The other free site that I really reccommend is the Torre Di Argentina. Famously the site where apparently Julius Ceaser was murdered, it also houses a cat sanctuary, and the cats are actually rather friendly too!
The volunteers there do an amazing job, so make sure you say hello when playing with the cats!
I'll do a final post tomorrow about the last few sites to see!
